One Day Rides

Date: July 19 tour ride, Santa Cruz
The second of three rides with Team Mermaid, this one is a 40 mile loop
in beautiful Santa Cruz. The tour rides (20 miles, 40 miles and 60
miles) are designed to teach you how to ride longer distances on your own
safely. We want you to be able to call a girlfriend and head out on a ride
knowing exactly what you are doing! These rides are limited to 100 women and
are self supported. We encourage you to get your families and friends
involved having them SAG (support, give you treats ect) you along the route.
We will spend some time before the ride going over bike safety, the course,
changing a flat tire and any quesitons you may have about riding longer
distances. This is a RIDE not a RACE, there is no timing involved and is
meant to be a fun day with women experiencing the freedom of hopping on your
bike and going for a ride!!! At the 20 mile mark, we will stop for a lunch
together and then finish the ride~ all levels are welcome!!!
