Girls on the Run
GOTR
is an after school program that uses running to prepare girls for a
lifetime of self-respect
and healthy living. Through interactive activities such as running,
playing games and discussing important issues,
girls learn how to celebrate being girls. Our 12 week program is open
to girls in 3rd -8th grade and Girls on the Run
of Silicon Valley is currently seeking volunteer coaches in Santa Cruz
and Santa Clara Counties. For more information,
visit our website at www.girlsontherun-sv.org
or contact kathleen@gotrsv.org.
This weekend, be sure to look around the race course. You might see
some young athletes, many of whom were
Girls on the Run participants. Be sure to ask them about their GOTR
experience or stop by our booth after the race
to learn more about our programs. Good luck on Sunday and we hope to
see you there!
