FOR FUN VS. AGE-GROUP
Note: If you would like to switch categories please email:
info@mermaidtriathlon.com
The For Fun Division was developed for folks that want to do the entire
(Swim, Bike and Run)
event without the pressure of ‘racing’ in an age group.
The "For Fun" division is setup for
athletes of all ages. It was also setup since we had many women request
starting in the same
‘wave’ as a family member or friend. In addition, this has
been a popular wave for first time
and novice athletes. The "Individual Age-Group" division means
that you are starting with the
other athletes in your age-division and we award a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
place prize. The "Athena"
division is for athletes 150 lbs. or over who want to race against similar
athletes for a 1st, 2nd
and 3rd place prize. Please note that we do not give out 1st, 2nd, and
3rd place awards for
athletes registered in the “For Fun Division’.
