The Mermaid movement is growing all over California and it's fueled by ex(tri)ordinary Mermaids like you. This month we're encouraging our Mermaids to become part of our Facebook community by "Liking" the Mermaid Series. By sharing in the movement we can help inspire each other and motivate new Mermaids to join a healthy and positive community of women!

Mermaid Triathlon & Duathlon Santa Cruz - September 25th

Mermaid Run San Diego - February 11th, 2012
Join us for the 3rd Annual Prevention 5k, 10k, Half Marathon Mermaid Run San Diego. The perfect excuse for a sunny weekend vacation in San Diego! Mini Mermaid Running Club is coming to San Diego
The Mini Mermaid Running Club (MMRC) is for girls in 1st-6th grade and is a FREE program for the girls. The program will begin in January of 2012 and the girls will train for the 5k at our Mermaid San Diego Run at Mission Bay on February 11th. Check out the MMRC website for details on the program at www.minimermaidrunningclub.org. We are having TWO info nights in the San Diego Area. The first is Monday September 12 at 6pm at the Movin Shoes store in Pacific Beach. On Tuesday September 13 at 6pm, we will meet at Movin Shoes in Encinitas. Jumping In - Coach Heidi
This weekend I was up in the Sierra Mountains enjoying every ounce of fresh air and altitude breathlessness. I've gone up there for years with friends and we have found ourselves somehow in the habit of running, scrambling, swimming and jumping around the perimeter of Shaver Lake. It seems that each year we get ourselves into some crazy situation where fear creeps in. Fear can stop us from actually living our lives, from breathing deep, from screaming loud, from letting tears flow freely. Fear has the ability to change the course of every action in our lives. September 11th, Big Kahuna Triathlon
The Big Kahuna is a long course triathlon of 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run. Athletes can compete as individuals or as a relay team. In addition to the triathlon, the Big Kahuna offers an AquaBike where athletes complete the swim and bike.

September 23rd - 25th, Bonfire Heights
Team Mermaid Coach Heidi Boynton will be speaking in Monterey on Friday, September 23rd at 5:00 p.m. as part of Bonfire Heights. Speak To Me - Intelligent, inspiring events for women
Speak To Me is a dynamic events series for Bay Area women who want to get informed, connect with friends and be inspired.
