It's not always easy to be eco-friendly, but we're doing
our part to make a difference.

The Santa Cruz Mermaid will feature a couple
"eco-friendly" ideas including a bin for
donating your old running shoes to charity,
organic cotton Mermaid apparel, and a goal to
recycle 100% of the plastic water bottles.

Donate your Shoes!! We are working with the following two charities to make sure we can donate and hit our goal of 200 pairs.

To impact as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes.

From Our Feet, World Re-Use a Shoe Program
"From Our Feet" is a world re-use-a-shoe program that has delivered over 5000 pairs of shoes to third-world countries. We would be more than happy to take your old shoes off your hands. Shoes have gone to places Kenya, Afghanistan, Laos, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Eritrea, Phillipines and Tajikistan. We also work with select urban and Native American schools. We will take shoes in any condition. Especially shoes smaller than a men's size 10 and kids shoes!!!! Clean out your closet.
