From the North:
Take
Highway 17 to CA-1 S toward Watsonville/Monterey.
From CA-1 take the State Park Drive Exit.
(NOTE: Do not take Park Ave Exit)
Go right on State Park Drive
toward the ocean.
You will run directly into
Seacliff State Beach.
From the South:
Take CA-1 North to State Park Drive
Go Left on State Park Drive until you hit Seacliff State Beach
There are two options for Parking:
• Seacliff State Beach
($10 Parking Fee)
• Parking in Rio Del Mar
(Free parking, about a 5 minute bike ride, 10 minute walk)

Rio Del Mar parking and getting to the transition area:
Use the sidewalk that parallels the beach and head
north toward the Cement Ship through the parking
lot area. If you are riding a bike, it will be easiest to
ride just past the cement ship, turn right and go up
the hill and into the upper parking area where the
transition area is located. For those walking, there
is a set of stairs (same stairs used for swim exit)
before you get to the Cement Ship that you can
take. The stairs are on the right side of the road.
These stairs lead to the transition area.
